Chronic Pain Rehabilitation

Chronic pain rehab combines pharmacological, interventional and psychological care with multidisciplinary integration. The session covers spinal cord stimulation (high-frequency 10kHz, burst, DTM, closed-loop EVOKE/COMBO), opioid-sparing protocols, CBT and ACT for chronic pain, fibromyalgia management (2024 ACR criteria), digital therapeutics (AppliedVR FDA-cleared, Sword Health, Hinge), and emerging neuromodulation (peripheral nerve stimulation, occipital nerve stimulation). Discussion addresses CBT vs ACT vs mindfulness, SCS approval landscape, opioid use disorder in chronic-pain patients, post-amputation pain, integrated multidisciplinary pain programmes, and emerging psychedelic-assisted trials.
