Vocational Rehabilitation
Return to work is a core outcome for many patients with multiple specialised approaches. The session covers workplace ergonomic assessment, gradual return-to-work programmes (functional capacity evaluation, work conditioning), supported employment for severe disability, work conditioning protocols, and the intersection of disability law and rehab practice (ADA accommodations, FMLA, workers' compensation). Discussion addresses vocational counsellors, return-to-work after stroke vs SCI vs TBI, ergonomic accommodations for diverse disabilities, the remote-work landscape post-pandemic, US/EU/Asian vocational frameworks comparison, and technology-supported supported-employment.
